Portman Partners announces new partners for Middle East, North America expansion

Thu, 14th Mar 2024

Portman Partners, a global executive search firm, has announced the appointment of two new partners, bolstering its existing team and expanding support for businesses and investment communities in key regions.

Having been acquired by Meyer Mundell Limited earlier this year, Portman is reinforcing its promise to expand into prominent markets. They are doing so through the appointments of Pieter Meissenheimer in the Middle East and Andy Shields in North America.

Meissenheimer is joining Portman as a new partner based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). With over 15 years of experience as a finance professional and a key focus on cloud solution integration, he hopes to build the talent pipeline for the future leaders of the digital infrastructure sector. Meissenheimer's career started working as a financial accountant in a project lead role for numerous conglomerates within various industries in Europe. He later transitioned into a consulting role across multiple regions, including EMEA, APAC, the US, India, Africa, and Singapore, before finally moving towards the recruitment space.

To bolster support for businesses in North America, Andy Shields joins Portman with over 20 years of experience within the data centre industry. His extensive senior-level relationships across the industry will enable Portman to broaden its network of C-level executives significantly. Having operated and conducted business across 50 different countries, Shield's cross-cultural experience will play a crucial role in developing Portman's position in the US and Canada and creating new opportunities for Portman's clients.

Mike Meyer, Managing Director of Portman Partners expressed his excitement about the new additions. "I am delighted to welcome Pieter and Andy to the global Portman team as partners for the Middle East and North America respectively," he said. "Their experience, knowledge, and expertise across the digital infrastructure industry will be invaluable for Portman and its clients as we continue to broaden our network and global reach, and as we launch new services in the future."

Reinforcing the company's strategic expansion, Meyer further commented on Portman's future plans for bolstering the team, stating, "Investing in our team is key to support our clients. We hope to explore further partnerships to strengthen our team and to continue finding the best-fit and leadership-ready people as demand for our services increases."
