NeuroBlade tech enhances AWS with EC2 F2 integration

Mon, 30th Dec 2024

NeuroBlade has announced the integration of its analytics acceleration technology with Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) F2 instances.

The collaboration aims to enhance the performance and efficiency of cloud-native data analytics workloads by leveraging NeuroBlade's technology in conjunction with AMD FPGA and EPYC CPU technologies. The integration aligns with the increasing trend of cloud data migration, providing a solution that efficiently processes large data volumes, particularly in sectors focusing on artificial intelligence and machine learning.

NeuroBlade's acceleration technology can be accessed on Amazon Web Services (AWS) through the new EC2 F2 instances or deployed on-premises using a standard PCIe card. This dual availability offers customers flexibility in integrating advanced acceleration technology into their existing data platforms, facilitating faster decision-making and scalability improvements.

Elad Sity, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of NeuroBlade, remarked, "The integration of NeuroBlade's analytics acceleration technology with Amazon EC2 F2 instances represents a pivotal shift in the data processing. By leveraging AMD FPGA and EPYC CPU capabilities, we're enabling businesses to overcome the limitations of traditional CPU-centric systems, delivering faster queries, improved throughput, and reduced TCO. This collaboration transforms how organisations handle cloud-native analytics, unlocking unprecedented performance and scalability for data-intensive workloads."

By deploying NeuroBlade's technology on EC2 F2 instances, customers are expected to benefit from faster query processing, reduced total cost of ownership (TCO), and enhanced service efficiency through more effective data analytics. The technology integrates seamlessly with popular open-source query engines such as Presto and Apache Spark, providing users with robust query throughput efficiency, measured in queries per hour per dollar (QpH/$). This integration supports the delivery of scalable and high-performance data analytics solutions.

NeuroBlade offers reference integrations with its accelerator technology for Prestissimo, a combination of Presto and Velox, and Apache Spark. These examples allow customers to conduct industry-standard benchmarks like TPC-H and TPC-DS or use their datasets to compare the performance benefits and cost efficiencies of NeuroBlade's acceleration technology against conventional CPU-based vectorised processing.

This solution is expected to provide significant benefits to AWS customers, particularly those in cloud services, data centres, AI/ML enterprises, big data analytics, SaaS providers, retail, and compliance-driven industries. Customers can expect enhanced query performance, reduced latency, lower operational costs, optimised computation efficiency, and accelerated AI/ML model performance for real-time insights and decision-making.
