NeuroBlade tech integrates with Amazon EC2 F2 for speed boost

Fri, 3rd Jan 2025

NeuroBlade has announced the integration of its data analytics acceleration technology with Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) F2 instances.

NeuroBlade says it is aiming to set new benchmarks in data analytics by providing speed and scalability in processing large datasets. This advancement applies to both cloud and on-premises operations, allowing organisations to gain insights more quickly and efficiently.

The NeuroBlade analytics acceleration is now accessible via EC2 F2 instances, utilising AMD FPGA and EPYC CPU technologies. This integration offers substantial improvements in query performance, cost-efficiency, and overall operational efficiency for AWS users.

The technology is fully compatible with major query engines such as Presto and Apache Spark, which allows for transformative changes in data ecosystems. This supports real-time decision-making, enhances outcomes, and scales seamlessly for data-heavy applications.

According to NeuroBlade, several industries are expected to significantly benefit from this integration. For example, cloud service providers can expect faster query speeds and a reduction in latency, which can lead to cost optimisation. Data centres may achieve higher throughput and efficiency, while AI/ML enterprises can enable real-time insights with accelerated model execution.

Additionally, the company says the big data analytics firms can simplify complex queries, and SaaS providers can offer improved analytics functionalities. Moreover, retail and e-commerce sectors can conduct immediate customer behaviour analysis, while compliance-driven industries can deliver rapid and accurate reporting to adhere to stringent guidelines.

Elad Sity, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of NeuroBlade, commented, "The integration of NeuroBlade's analytics acceleration technology with Amazon EC2 F2 instances represents a pivotal shift in data processing. By leveraging AMD FPGA and EPYC CPU capabilities, we're enabling businesses to overcome the limitations of traditional CPU-centric systems, delivering faster queries, improved throughput, and reduced TCO. This collaboration transforms how organizations handle cloud-native analytics, unlocking unprecedented performance and scalability for data-intensive workloads."

The availability of NeuroBlade's Acceleration technology on EC2 F2 instances means customers can quickly assess its advantages, such as accelerated query processing, cost savings, and the enhancement of services through more efficient data analytics processes. It integrates effectively with open-source query engines, ensuring leading market query throughput efficiency.

NeuroBlade further provides reference integrations of its technology with Prestissimo (Presto + Velox) and Apache Spark. This allows clients to perform industry-standard benchmarks or test their datasets, enabling a direct comparison between accelerated and non-accelerated implementations on the same cloud infrastructure. This demonstrates the performance and cost benefits of NeuroBlade's technology over conventional CPU vectorized processing.
