Constl has appointed Nidhi Pandey as Chief Information Officer, putting her in charge of the company's IT and digital functions.

She joins the digital infrastructure provider as it expands its fibre network across India and develops systems for telecom operators, data centres, cloud providers and enterprise customers.

Her remit includes digital, finance, OSS and BSS applications. She will oversee enterprise application modernisation, technology governance and platform delivery as Constl builds out its operations.

The appointment adds a senior technology executive to the leadership team of the carrier-neutral digital infrastructure provider, which is part of Space World Group.

Career background

Pandey has more than two decades of experience in telecommunications, technology and enterprise IT. She has held senior roles at Airtel International, HPE India, Vodafone Idea, Tata Communications and Tech Mahindra.

In those roles, she worked on digital transformation projects, enterprise architecture programmes and IT strategy mandates across multiple markets and business functions. That experience aligns with Constl's focus on modernising internal systems while supporting a broader network expansion.

India's digital infrastructure sector has been drawing investment as rising data consumption, cloud adoption and artificial intelligence workloads increase demand for fibre links and data centre interconnection. Providers are under pressure to expand networks while improving the software and operational systems used to manage customers, assets and service delivery.

OSS and BSS platforms play a central role in network operations, billing, customer management and service assurance. Modernising those systems can affect how quickly operators launch services, manage faults and handle growing traffic demands.

Expansion phase

The appointment comes as Constl scales a pan-India fibre network and digital infrastructure platform. The company serves hyperscalers, telecom operators, data centres, cloud providers and enterprise customers.

Strong enterprise systems remain a strategic priority as the business grows, with a focus on secure, scalable platforms that support operations and customer management.

Constl focuses on network routes linking major data centres in India. Those routes are designed to support high-capacity connectivity and low-latency data centre interconnection, an area of growing importance as AI-related computing demand rises.

Parent company Space World Group operates across digital infrastructure and services, fibre infrastructure, integrated building management systems, chemicals and component manufacturing. The group says it has been active for nearly two decades and has built a portfolio aimed at India's infrastructure and industrial markets.

The hire reflects a broader pattern across the telecom and infrastructure industries, where companies are seeking senior executives with experience in both network environments and enterprise IT. As infrastructure operators expand, Chief Information Officers are often tasked not only with overseeing internal technology but also with integrating finance, operations and customer platforms into a single operating model.

Pandey said: "I am excited to join Constl at such a transformative stage of its growth journey. As digital infrastructure becomes increasingly critical to India's AI-led future, I look forward to working closely with the team to strengthen our technology capabilities, drive innovation, and deliver scalable, secure, and future-ready platforms that create value for our customers and stakeholders."
