Fri, 9th Feb 2024

NetApp, the intelligent data infrastructure company, has stepped up its partnership with Parikrma Humanity Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to educational transformation. The two organisations came together to host the third edition of the Parikrma Innovations Conclave. The goal of the event was to inspire and equip youths to become change agents by developing innovative ideas that significantly contribute to the global fight against climate change.

The theme of this year's Innovations Conclave was 'Creative - Innovative Ideas to Impact Climate Change'. This acted as a strong catalyst for the young minds involved. Participating student-teams from 27 different schools took part in brainstorming sessions over the course of three months to develop practical solutions to address climate-related challenges. Winning teams from Inventure Academy, Parikrma Centre for Learning, and Government Urdu Higher Primary School presented their forward-thinking ideas as part of the event.

NetApp is no stranger to working with younger individuals within under-served communities. The company runs the related Data Explorers Program, aimed at empowering teenagers to discover and develop vital data science skills. This prepares them to flourish and make an impact in a data-driven world. Further extending their commitment to this cause, NetApp has, in India alone, worked with over 1,000 pupils to nurture a sustainable understanding of data.

Ravi Chhabria, Managing Director of NetApp India, commented on conjunction, "We're truly honoured to stand alongside Parikrma Foundation in their effort to empower the nation’s youth and encourage them to problem-solve with data. We believe such events play a pivotal role in the holistic development of our youth and provide them with the tools and inspiration needed to envision a brighter, more sustainable future."

The event witnessed an impressive turnout of over 200 attendees, including students, educationists, and other thought leaders. Amongst those present were key dignitaries, including Prof. Balaram P, Retired Director of IISC.

Reflecting on the Innovations Conclave, Shukla Bose, Founder and CEO of Parikrma Humanity Foundation, commented, "The Parikrma Innovations Conclave stands as a testament to its transformative impact on young minds. This event's remarkable success is a result of collective dedication and collaboration. We deeply appreciate NetApp's support. The convergence of diverse ideas and perspectives, coupled with the shared commitment to innovation and transformative education, has created a platform that empowers tomorrow's leaders."
