Everpure named Gartner leader for enterprise storage

Everpure has been named a Leader in Gartner's 2026 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Storage Platforms, ranking highest for execution and furthest for vision for the second year running.

The recognition places Everpure among the leading suppliers in a market Gartner defines as products and services that support block, file and object storage workloads through a centrally managed control plane. This includes storage appliances, software-defined storage, storage as a service and the data management tools used to run them.

Everpure used the announcement to argue that storage suppliers are increasingly being judged on how well they help customers organise data for artificial intelligence workloads, rather than on hardware alone. Many organisations investing in AI models and applications are running into problems caused by fragmented data spread across different systems and environments, it said.

Its answer is what it calls a Data Primacy architecture, centred on governed and contextualised data rather than application-specific data stores. Everpure said this approach links policy, governance and context directly to operational data across hybrid environments.

Charles Giancarlo, Chief Executive Officer of Everpure, set out that view in a statement accompanying the announcement. "Data Primacy will be the future of IT architectures in the AI era, and we believe the Gartner recognition validates Everpure's innovation to make enterprise data truly AI-ready," he said.

Platform updates

Alongside the ranking, Everpure highlighted several recent additions to its platform designed to help customers prepare data for AI use. These include Everpure Data Intelligence, which the company said discovers, classifies, contextualises and governs data at its source across its own systems, cloud platforms, software-as-a-service environments and third-party infrastructure.

It also pointed to updates to its Enterprise Data Cloud, intended to unify data, policy and semantics across hybrid estates. Another product, AI Data Stream, aims to automate the discovery, preparation and delivery of data for AI applications.

Cyber resilience was another focus. Everpure said recent changes were intended to improve protection against cyber threats and speed recovery when attacks disrupt business operations.

The storage market has been reshaped in recent years by growing demand for systems that can manage both structured and unstructured data across on-premises and cloud environments. Suppliers have increasingly positioned their platforms as a layer for data governance and orchestration as companies try to make corporate information usable for AI tools and automated workflows.

For Everpure, the latest Gartner placement extends a long run of recognition in the analyst firm's storage-related market reports. The company said it had previously been named a Leader 11 times across earlier Magic Quadrant categories, including Solid-State Arrays and Primary Storage, before the newer Enterprise Storage Platforms category.

Customer feedback

Everpure also cited customer review data from Gartner Peer Insights to support its market position. According to figures it provided, the company held an overall rating of 4.9 out of 5 in the Enterprise Storage Platforms market, with 89% of reviewers saying they would recommend the platform, based on 202 reviews.

It also included several customer comments highlighting ease of use, support, reliability and performance. One reviewer said the product stood out for its interface and support, while others said it had improved application and database speeds, simplified operations and maintained uptime.

Those comments reflect the factors that continue to shape buying decisions in enterprise storage, where customers weigh cost, simplicity, resilience, and the ability to manage data consistently across multiple environments. As AI projects place more pressure on data pipelines, suppliers are trying to show that their platforms can do more than store information.

Gartner's Enterprise Storage Platforms category reflects that shift. The market definition focuses on platforms that combine data storage and data management services through a centrally managed, multidomain control plane, allowing organisations to handle a broad range of workloads while applying telemetry and automation across them.

Everpure argues that this broader platform model will become more important as AI moves from pilot projects into operational systems.
